about myself

Background:	I have taught privately since the eighties. I have also taught public school and held a number of church music positions including soloist, section leader and director. I have worked with toddlers and Octogenarians and everything in between.
Qualifications:	I have a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from California State University at Fullerton and a Master's degree in Voice from The University of Arizona. I have been a chorus member and soloist at the Oregon Bach Festival, The San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival, The International Bach Akademie and others. I have sung with the Arizona Opera Chorus and performed in the school tour of Cinderella. My studio performed the roles of gingerbread chorus for the 2002 production of Hansel and Gretel. In addition to teaching at the two studios and directing the Arizona Youth Chamber Ensemble, I teach Musical Theatre at the NAU Curry Summer Music Camp.
Associations:	I am a member of National Association of Teachers of Singing and the Tucson Teachers of singing.

I never would have dreamed I would belong to: UNL's vocal music department. It is here with my current voice teacher that I am on the journey to becoming an expansive, competitive and versatile professional performer of musical theater. But Stephanie is the one who set the journey in motion, gathering my scattered, misused energies and giving them focus and purpose, long before I graduated high school.
